About Elite Training & Race Preparation
This program is for swimmers who have mastered the basics and are now chasing race-day performance. We train at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence, utilizing their Olympic-standard facilities to analyze your stroke mechanics and build speed. Whether you need to fix your hand entry in freestyle or sharpen your underwater phase, we treat every session like a competition warm-up.
Swimming fast requires more than just laps. It demands technical precision and the right mindset. As an ASCA-certified coach who has represented India on the international stage, I structure these sessions to push you closer to your personal best.
The Training Approach
We focus on the four competitive strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly. My coaching goes beyond surface-level observation. We dive into the physics of your swim, adjusting your hydrodynamics, kick efficiency, and breathing patterns to reduce drag.
Race Strategy & Mental Toughness
Preparation isn't just physical. You need to know how to execute a race plan under pressure. We work on:
- Starts and Turns: Mastering the explosive power of your start and the efficiency of your turns to shave seconds off your time.
- Pacing: Learning how to split your race so you don't burn out before the final wall.
- Mental Conditioning: Inspired by athletes like Michael Phelps, I teach you to handle competition nerves and maintain focus when it matters most.
Logistics & Squads
We operate at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Betahalasuru, giving you access to professional heated pools that are essential for year-round training. Depending on your commitment level, we have two tiers:
- Weekend Competitive Squad: Ideal for swimmers balancing other commitments who want to maintain high technical standards with 8 to 9 sessions per month.
- Weekday High-Performance Program: A rigorous schedule for serious athletes, offering 20 to 22 sessions per month. This includes dryland conditioning to build the strength needed for explosive speed.
