Urban & Unconventional Fashion Photography
I turn raw city corners—abandoned buses, junkyards, and forgotten walls—into cinematic sets. If you want photos with an edge that don't look like everyone else's, let’s find a spot and create something wild.
This reel shows the transformation of a junkyard into a cool, edgy fashion set. The final images have a raw, industrial vibe that you just can't replicate in a studio.
We shot this entire series in a cramped, abandoned bus. It proves that with the right vision, even the most restrictive spaces can be used to create stunning, story-driven portraits.
The first shot from our 'BOSS LADY' series, captured against a graffiti wall in Hauz Khas Village. The urban art adds a layer of texture and attitude to the powerful, chic styling.
Using a simple brick wall as a backdrop, this shoot focuses on the model's confident presence and casual style. It’s about finding the beauty in everyday urban textures.
A behind-the-scenes look at a roadside shoot. We used the open road and evening light to create a series of dynamic and colorful fashion images that feel spontaneous and full of life.
Set against decaying brick ruins, this shoot has a raw and moody feel. The contrast between the model's modern fashion and the rustic location creates a compelling visual story.
Another powerful look from the 'BOSS LADY' series. The model's confident stance against the vibrant graffiti wall makes for a bold statement about urban fashion.
An effortless and elegant portrait taken in a cafe with beautiful natural textures. This lifestyle shot shows how to blend fashion with a relaxed, sophisticated environment.
This colorful backdrop feels like a street in London. We used the vibrant location to complement the floral dress, creating a cheerful and stylish fashion portrait.
The doorway of this brick building provided the perfect frame for a memorable shot. The combination of the classic white shirt, denim shorts, and knee-high boots creates a timeless look.
About Urban & Unconventional Locations
You don't need a polished studio to get a high-end look. Some of my best work happens when we take a simple outfit to a gritty, unexpected location like an old bus or a junk lot. The key is in how we play with natural light and textures to build a story that feels authentic to your brand. If you are ready to ditch the boring backdrops, I am down to scout a spot that fits your vibe.
Why unconventional locations work
Most people look for a clean background, but I look for character. When we shoot in places like industrial zones, rustic ruins, or even a quiet street corner in Delhi or Noida, we get layers of texture you just cannot manufacture. That rust on a metal door or the peeling paint on a wall adds a layer of 'grit' to your photos that makes high-fashion clothing pop.
The process
- Scouting: We pick a location that matches your specific brand identity or personal aesthetic. It is a collaboration, so if you have a spot in mind, let’s make it work.
- Lighting: Even in 'ugly' places, I use specific lighting techniques—blocking direct sun or using shadows—to create a mood. My gear, like the Sony A7Riii, handles these environments well, ensuring your skin tones look sharp against the raw backdrop.
- Direction: If you are worried about posing in public, don't be. I guide you through every shot. We don't just stand there; we move, we explore, and we capture those candid, 'gudgudahut' moments.
Practical stuff to know
- Logistics: These shoots often involve walking and moving around, so wear comfortable shoes—you can always change into your heels or styling shoes once we hit the spot.
- Weather: We rely on natural light, so we usually aim for the golden hour or overcast days to keep the cinematic moody tone consistent.
- Collaboration: Come with an open mind. The best frames often happen when we stop planning and start playing with the environment around us.
