About Baby Shower & Maternity Art
I use only natural, essential-oil enriched henna paste for all my maternity designs, ensuring the process is safe, comfortable, and soothing for both you and your baby. When we talk, tell me what truly defines this chapter of your life—whether it's the anticipation of a new arrival, a family portrait, or a specific motif—and I will sketch it out to create a keepsake you will cherish long after the ceremony.
Designing Your Story
Pregnancy is a whirlwind of emotions, and my goal is to ground that energy into art. Unlike standard designs, maternity mehendi is highly personalized. We can work together to incorporate elements that represent your specific journey:
- Portraits: I specialize in detailed figure work, including portraits of parents-to-be, siblings, or even pets.
- Thematic Elements: Popular requests include 'Baby on Board' motifs, Baal Gopal (Baby Krishna) themes, hot air balloons, or nursery-inspired doodles like cute animals.
- Sentimental Details: We can hide your baby's expected arrival date, initials, or even symbols that represent your specific cultural traditions within the intricate patterns.
Why Natural Henna Matters
For expectant mothers, I strictly stick to 100% natural, triple-sifted organic henna paste. I do not use any chemicals or 'black henna' alternatives. The deep, rich stain we aim for comes from high-quality henna leaves, essential oils, and proper aftercare—like the lemon-sugar sealant I apply. This ensures a dark, long-lasting color without any risk of irritation.
How the Process Works
I understand that comfort is key during pregnancy. I am happy to perform the application at your home or chosen venue. Most designs, depending on the complexity of the figures and portraits, take between 90 minutes to 3 hours. If you are planning a larger baby shower event with guests, I also have a team available to handle mehendi for your family and friends so everyone can enjoy the celebration together.
Pooja Gada
I’m Pooja. For me, henna is about freezing a moment in time, especially for your baby shower. I love working with moms-to-be to capture the exact feeling of this anticipation—whether it’s a tiny footprint, a portrait, or a design that blends your family’s love story into the patterns.
