Major Productions & Theatrical Works
I create full-scale dance dramas that bring epic stories and concepts to life on stage. From mythological tales like the Ramayan in 'Ek Anant' to contemporary themes of hope in 'Nishant', each production is a complete world built with intricate choreography, live music, and dramatic lighting.
Collaborations & Fusion
I love the 'sawal-jawab' that happens when Kathak meets other art forms. This section showcases my work blending Kathak with Sufi poetry, Carnatic music, Bharatanatyam, and even folk dance, creating unique cross-cultural conversations through movement.
Choreography for Events & Screen
I adapt the language of dance for diverse platforms, from corporate stages to the silver screen. We design bespoke performances for special events and work with film directors to create movement that serves the story, as seen in projects like 'Pune Highway' and 'Dil Dosti Dilema'.
The Creative Process: Rehearsals & Workshops
The final performance is born from hours of 'riyaaz' (practice), collaboration, and shared learning in the studio. This is a look into our rehearsal process, the interaction with live musicians, and the choreography workshops I conduct for aspiring dancers.
Traditional Kathak Repertoire
This section is dedicated to the heart of Kathak: its technical compositions. Here you will find choreographies in various 'taals' (rhythmic cycles) like Teentaal, Jhaptaal, and Basant, including parans, tihayees, and tatkaar, performed by my dance company and students.
