Open Concept Living Room Designs for Bengaluru Homes

I design living and dining areas that act as the heart of your home. By prioritizing flow and natural light, I turn disjointed rooms into connected spaces that feel like a breath of fresh air.

A collage showcasing the 'Earthy Urban' project, where warm neutrals, natural wood, and woven textures come together in the living and dining areas to create a cohesive and calming environment.

This dining area seamlessly connects to the kitchen, perfect for a family that loves open living. The design uses a bold blue bench for storage and seating, while a wall of mirrors makes the space feel larger and brighter.

Here I am in a recently completed living room, enjoying the final result. The design features a vaulted ceiling with wooden beams, a curated gallery wall, and an olive green sofa to create a space that is personal, artistic, and full of character.

By removing an old cabinet and opening up a wall, we created this beautiful arched view into the dining room, complete with custom shelving. The bold blue door adds a pop of personality and draws the eye through the space.

This living room from my 'Soulful Sanctuary' project features a custom open-shelving TV unit that provides ample space for display and storage. The burnt orange sofa adds a pop of color against the neutral, textured brick wall.

An exposed brick wall adds raw, earthy texture to this dining area, creating a beautiful contrast with the sleek, modern kitchen beyond. The black metal and mesh sideboard provides stylish storage while maintaining a light, industrial feel.

This TV unit combines open and closed storage, offering the perfect balance of style and function. The open shelves are ideal for displaying curated decor, while the closed cabinets keep everyday items neatly hidden away.

About this collection

Creating an open layout is not just about knocking down walls. It is about rethinking the work triangle and sightlines to ensure your living and dining areas feel connected without losing their individual purpose. I often use clever elements like mirror walls to reflect light or custom furniture like a kitchen bench that doubles as storage to keep your floor plan feeling expansive and uncluttered.

When I step into a potential project, I look for flow first. An open floor plan should invite conversation, not just look like a giant empty room. In our Earthy Urban projects, we often remove non-structural walls to merge kitchens with dining areas, allowing for better natural ventilation and shared light.

We pay attention to the details that make these spaces livable. If we open up a wall, we often add architectural beams to define zones without blocking sightlines. A mirror wall is another favorite trick; it adds depth and reflects light, making compact apartments feel significantly larger. We also focus on multi-functional furniture, like benches with storage or hidden appliance garages, so that your home remains tidy even in a busy open-plan setting.

Renovation can be disruptive, but we handle the logistics including demolition debris, neighbor management, and precise structural planning. We want your home to be a place where you can exhale, whether you are hosting guests or enjoying a quiet morning coffee.
