A day in the life of an interior designer is rarely glamorous. It's filled with dusty site visits, market runs for the perfect materials, and countless cups of chai, all to ensure every detail of a project comes together perfectly.
A quick look at a typical day, which involves driving to multiple site visits to check on progress, inspect workmanship, and ensure the design is being executed as planned.
Come along for a site visit. Today we're problem-solving how to install a sliding door, checking paint samples, and dry-laying tiles to confirm the pattern. It's all about making decisions on the ground to get the best result.
A progress check at our Keya project site. It's always exciting to see the bare bones of our designs, like the kitchen cabinetry framework, start to take shape and come to life.
Our Mantri site is getting fresh layers of charm with two coats of paint. The furniture is covered, and the walls are starting to reflect the clean, bright vision we have for the space.
Veneer love! Here we are selecting a beautiful patterned veneer for an upcoming project. The process of choosing materials that will define the character of a space is one of my favorite parts.

What you don’t see in the finished photos is the problem-solving that happens on the ground—like figuring out how to maneuver plumbing lines for a sliding door or dry-laying tiles to perfect a pattern. My team and I handle the messy site logistics so you don't have to, ensuring that the chaotic phase of renovation eventually gives way to a home that feels exactly like you.

Renovation is messy, loud, and often overwhelming, but it is also the only way to make an existing space truly yours. My approach to interior design goes beyond the aesthetic. It is about site management, procurement logistics, and solving architectural challenges that arise once the demolition begins.
The Reality of Site Work
When I post about site visits, I am sharing the reality of what goes into a home project in Bangalore. This includes everything from managing neighbor relations during noisy demolition hours to ensuring debris is disposed of properly and material deliveries are timed right. My team and I take care of these 'behind the scenes' headaches so your home transformation is as seamless as possible.
Sustainable Restoration
I am a firm believer in 're-loving' what you already have if it has good bones. In many of my projects, we don't start from scratch. We take dated, solid-wood wardrobes and cabinetry, strip back the old varnish, reinforce the structure, and give them a modern finish—like matte black hardware or fluted panels. This is not only sustainable but allows us to retain the quality of older furniture while bringing it up to speed with your modern lifestyle.

From the moment we begin a project, we follow a structured path:
- Planning: We start with mood boards and detailed 2D working drawings to align on your vision.
- Visualization: Before any dust is kicked up, you see the space through 3D walkthroughs.
