Custom Everyday and Vacation Dresses

Because I create each dress on a made-to-measure basis, the focus is entirely on how you want to feel. If you are planning a beach vacation, we can look at flowy, crease-resistant crepe or soft Georgette that packs easily and looks polished in photos. If you are looking for everyday staples, I prefer working with breathable natural fabrics like Mul Mul, Swiss Cotton, or Schiffli because they actually feel good against your skin in our weather.

Here is how we usually approach a custom dress project:

1. The Idea: You don't need a final sketch. If you have a specific color, a neckline you saw online, or just a silhouette that you know flatters your frame, we start there.

2. The Fit: Unlike off-the-rack pieces, we tailor the garment to your proportions. This is particularly important for styles like Angrakhas or structured gowns where the bust and shoulder fit define the entire look.

3. The Details: This is where the personality comes in. We can add custom pearl chains, functional buttons, or specific embroidery patterns. If it is a gown, I often include built-in padding or boning so you do not have to worry about finding the right innerwear.

Since everything is handcrafted at my Hauz Khas studio, it does take a little time. This is not the fastest route for a last-minute outfit, but it is the right route if you want a dress that actually fits you instead of forcing you to fit into a standardized size. If you are in Delhi, you can drop by the studio to feel the fabric swatches and try on a few samples before we finalize your design.
