About this collection
Photographing rescues requires patience, not just a camera. Whether your dog is still adjusting to a new environment or struggles with leash reactivity, I combine my training skills with photography. I do not force poses; I wait for the moment they feel safe enough to show their true, goofy, or soulful self.
When I work with rescue dogs, the camera is secondary to the relationship. Many rescue dogs come with their own history—some are nervous in new spaces, while others have boundless, untamed energy. My approach is rooted in the same positive reinforcement I use for behavioral training. If your pup is camera-shy or reactive on a leash, we do not rush. We spend time letting them sniff the environment, build trust, and eventually, the shot happens because the dog feels comfortable, not because I forced them into a pose.
Understanding the Indie Temperament
Indian Pariahs (Indies) are incredibly intelligent and adaptable, but they are also deeply observant. I focus on capturing those in-between moments—the head-tilt when they are listening to a new sound, the gentle loyalty in their eyes, or the zoomies in the park. We work at the dog's pace, ensuring the session remains a fun, stress-free bonding activity for both of you.
