Newborn and Pet Photography Sessions

About this collection
I intentionally keep sessions slow and unhurried—a full two-hour window allows for all the feeding, changing, and soothing breaks your baby needs, while giving your pet the time and space they need to adjust to the new family dynamic without any pressure.
Documenting the First Chapter
When a new baby arrives, your 'first baby' with paws is often going through a big transition too. My approach to newborn and pet photography is strictly lifestyle-focused. I don't use props, baskets, or complex poses that force your pet to sit still. Instead, we stay in your home, which is where your pet feels most secure.
My Process for a Safe Session
Safety is the absolute priority when working with newborns and animals. Here is how I manage the logistics:
- Lighting: I exclusively use continuous, non-flash lighting. This keeps the environment calm and avoids startling the baby or your pet.
- Flexibility: Whether your dog is a high-energy husky or a shy senior, I follow their lead. We work around feeding times and nap schedules.
- The 'Protector' Dynamic: I look for those protective glances and the quiet curiosity that happens when a dog realizes, 'This is our human.'
Why At-Home Sessions Work Best
By keeping the session at your home, we remove the stress of travel. Your pet stays in their comfort zone, and you have access to everything you need for the baby. It allows me to capture the raw, honest moments—the shared glances on the couch, the curiosity at the crib, and the gentle introduction that defines the start of their bond. If your pet needs a little distance for safety, I use composite editing techniques to ensure every final image looks natural while keeping everyone physically safe.
