About Wildlife Photography
How I See Wildlife
Wildlife photography is honestly a bit of an obsession for me. Each shot is a mix of patience, luck, and a whole lot of time waiting for the perfect moment. I keep track of every bird species I find - just in Singapore, I’ve got 229 and counting. The rush I get when I finally spot that one rare bird or animal? Can’t really describe it, but it’s worth every mosquito bite.
My Way of Shooting
I’m always chasing that real, unfiltered moment. Most days, it means crouching in mud, dealing with bad lighting, or just sitting for hours. I mostly shoot handheld - that gives me the speed to catch a bird’s wild courtship display, or a predator sneaking up on prey. Urban wildlife photography is a big part of what I do, but I also travel to deep rainforests and national parks for those once-in-a-lifetime encounters.
What’s in My Collection
- Birds are my biggest passion. You’ll find everything from White-bellied Sea Eagles to tiny, shy Bee-eaters and even Hornbills in both breeding and non-breeding colors.
- I also photograph mammals like the rare Raffles Banded Langur and Spotted Deer, plus reptiles (think Wagler’s Pit Viper, Whip Snakes, and more).
- Macro shots? Absolutely. Butterflies, damselflies, jumping spiders - it’s all there.
Beyond the Picture
For me, every photo is a story. I’m always up for sharing details - where I found the animal, what they eat, or why their habitat matters. It’s not just about the shot, it’s about everything behind it.
Gear & Prints
All my shots come from my Canon EOS R5. If you want, you can bring one of these moments into your home - each print is a little piece of the wild, from Singapore, India, Malaysia, or wherever my camera takes me.

My Story
My camera’s like my ticket to the wild, lah. I’ve snapped 229 bird species just in Singapore, but I’m always chasing new creatures—Mumbai wetlands, Borneo rainforests, Hong Kong parks, wherever. It’s not only about the photo, it’s the whole adventure. Spent ages hunting that black Pacific Reef Heron, finally caught it in Langkawi. Every animal’s got a story. I’m lucky to capture a piece of it and share that touch of nature, always adding to my list, still counting.
