About Custom Portraits from Your Photos
I don't rely on digital tricks or printing. Every portrait is built layer by layer using a standard blue or black ballpoint pen through a technique called cross-hatching. It takes me anywhere from 10 to 28 hours to finish one piece, which is why I need a high-quality, clear photo from you to really capture those tiny details like eye reflections, jewelry, or fabric patterns.
How I Work
My process is straightforward and rooted in patience. When you send a clear photo, I analyze the light and shadows before putting pen to paper. I work primarily on 200 GSM heavy-grain drawing paper, using the ballpoint pen's ink to create texture and depth that a pencil simply can't achieve.
What to expect:
- Cross-hatching: This is my signature style. By overlapping tiny lines, I create realistic skin tones and fabric textures.
- The Details: I use white gel pens to add life to eye reflections and metallic accents on jewelry or traditional attire.
- Preservation: Once the sketch is complete, I apply a professional fixative spray. This seals the ink, preventing smudging and fading over time.
Ordering a Portrait
Whether you need a classic A4 size for a desk or a large A3 format for a living room wall, I have options to suit your space.
- Select Your Size: Choose between A4 for single subjects or A3 for couples and deities.
- Share the Photo: A clear, high-resolution image works best. If you have specific traditional attire or a jewelry style you want me to emphasize, tell me—bolo toh.
- Safe Shipping: I know how precious these are, so I roll every finished artwork in a hard, weather-proof PVC tube. I ship across India from Jodhpur, ensuring it reaches you in perfect condition.
I treat every commission as a piece of prayer. If you want something real, hand-drawn with heart, and made to last, let's connect.
