I turn scenes from your favorite movies and shows into detailed ballpoint pen portraits. Here are some of my takes on popular characters, drawn with patience and a whole lot of ink.

I enjoy drawing characters from popular films, like this portrait of Pushpa Raj. Using a blue ballpoint pen for the sketch and a red pen for the tilak, I aimed to capture the intense look that Allu Arjun is famous for in the movie.

A finished portrait of Allu Arjun as Pushpa, created with a blue ballpoint pen. The detailed cross-hatching brings out the texture of his beard and hair, capturing the rugged look of the character.

A colored pencil and pen portrait of Srivalli from the movie Pushpa. I used a mix of colors to capture the softness of her expression and the vibrant colors of her saree.

A blue ballpoint pen sketch of the emotional mother-son scene from the movie K.G.F. 2. I focused on capturing the feeling of love and protection in this powerful moment.

This is a blue pen sketch of Rinki from the popular web series Panchayat. I wanted to capture her simple and charming character, drawing her as she appears on the show.

A blue ballpoint pen portrait of Charlie Cox as the character Matt Murdock from Daredevil. I enjoyed sketching his smile and signature glasses, capturing the friendly side of the character.

This is a colored pen drawing of a character from the show Squid Game. I used bright, contrasting colors to match the show's unique visual style and the character's intense expression.

About Fan Art & Character Sketches

Getting a character sketch right is about more than just the likeness. I spend hours using cross-hatching to get the shadows and textures, like a beard or a specific fabric, exactly where they need to be. Whether it is the rugged look of Pushpa or the subtle expressions in Panchayat, I layer the ink until it feels alive.

Why Ballpoint Pen?

I do not use traditional graphite pencils for these sketches. A ballpoint pen is permanent, which means every stroke counts. There is no erasing. This forces me to be slow and deliberate with every line. For character sketches, this is perfect because it allows for the high contrast needed to capture the dramatic lighting often seen in films and web series.

My Process

For a piece like my portrait of Allu Arjun as Pushpa or Rinki from Panchayat, I start by mapping out the face. Then, I move to the cross-hatching. I do not use soft smudging. Instead, I build the depth of the skin and the intensity of the gaze through thousands of tiny, controlled strokes. This technique gives the art a crisp, rugged quality that looks great in a frame.

Custom Character Commissions

While these are some of my favorite characters to draw, I can sketch any personality you admire. Whether it is a legendary film star or a character that holds a special meaning for you, I treat every request with the same focus.

  • Materials: I use 200 GSM heavy-grain paper and permanent ballpoint ink.
  • Shipping: Every sketch is coated with a fixative spray to prevent smudging and shipped in a heavy-duty PVC tube to ensure it reaches you anywhere in India without a fold.
  • Timelines: Since these are detailed works, I take my time to get them right. Tell me who you want drawn, and I will share a timeline.
