About Outdoor & Poolside Venues
Outdoor events require specific planning for factors like wind resistance and lighting. We use weighted, wind-resistant structures for all backdrops and install focused LED lighting to ensure your decor remains stable and visible once the sun sets by the pool.
Working in outdoor spaces brings a unique set of challenges that we manage as part of our standard service. Whether you are hosting on a lawn or by a poolside, our process accounts for the practicalities of an open-air venue:
Stability and Safety
Outdoor setups are exposed to the elements. We use weighted bases and secure anchoring for all backdrops to prevent tipping in windy conditions. Our team ensures that all structures, including marquee letters and balloon arches, are anchored firmly to the ground or floor, even on grass.
Lighting for Evening Events
Natural light changes quickly, especially near water. We bring our own LED par cans and fairy lights to illuminate the decor area as the day turns to night. This prevents your setup from looking washed out or flat in the evening and creates a clear focal point for photography.
Access and Logistics
Outdoor venues can sometimes be tricky regarding access for heavy equipment. We coordinate with the venue management to ensure our setup team has sufficient access time. Our standard setup for complex outdoor projects typically requires a 4 to 5-hour window to complete the assembly of props, backdrops, and balloon styling. We also conduct a pre-setup inspection to ensure the ground is level for any tables or props that require a flat surface.
