About Decorative Paper-Cut Art
Why I Love Paper-Cut Art
I see a blank paper and just want to turn it into something magical. For me, cutting paper is a way to make art that feels personal and a bit dreamy. Every piece I make is slow, detailed, and honestly, sometimes my hand cramps up - but it’s worth it when I see the final result.
What I Make
- Portraits and custom pieces that feel like a little bit of you on paper
- Architectural wonders from my 'around the world' series - like a tiny Taj Mahal or Colosseum, all hand-cut
- Thematic art inspired by nature and symbols, like my lotus for peace and symmetry
- Personalized paper bookmarks with your initial and floral patterns - these are my go-to when I want to make something quick and cute
How I Work
No machines, no shortcuts. Just me, a sharp blade, and a lot of patience. Every line and curve is hand-cut from a single sheet. Sometimes it takes hours, but that’s what makes each piece so delicate and unique. The empty spaces are just as important as the paper left behind.
Finishing Touches
I always frame the art so it’s ready to display. You can pick a modern acrylic frame for that floating look, or a classic glass frame to make the details pop on your wall.
If you want something that’s a bit different, a bit personal, and made with a lot of care, this is what I do.

My Story
Hey, Smriti here! Started snipping paper in 2020, stuck at home, nowhere to go - so I made the world out of paper instead. Taj Mahal, Colosseum, all with my trusty knife. Wildest thing? Saw one of those places for real later! Oh, and making a portrait for Big B and his daughter - my dad was over the moon about it. Art really does connect people, na? Grateful, always.
