Cultural makeup isn't just about the outfit; it’s about knowing the exact placement of every ornament, from a Bengali kolka bindi to a Kashmiri Dejhoor. I take the time during our trial to practice these specific settings, so on your wedding day, we aren't guessing—we are just executing perfectly.
I don't just do makeup. I do justice to the traditions you grew up with. Whether it's setting a Nikkah dupatta, pinning a Marathi Mundavalya, or perfecting the red and yellow Bengali drape, I invest time in learning these nuances. It’s not just a look; it’s respect for the ceremony.
When we work together, we start with 30 minutes of deep skin prep. It doesn't matter if you are a Nepali bride needing shimmery, open-eye makeup or a South Indian bride wanting a classic, elegant look—the base has to be hydration-rich and long-lasting. I don't believe in the 'rush-rush' approach; I prefer to take the time to layer products so your skin looks like skin, not a cakey layer.
My Cultural Process
- Trial & Consultation: We meet at my Nerul studio to discuss your family traditions and see what matches your facial features.
- Skin Focus: I use high-end products (MAC, Bobbi Brown, NARS) that photograph well across all skin tones, especially on brown skin.
- Styling: From pinning the 'passa' for a Muslim bride to managing the heavy temple jewellery of a South Indian look, my team and I handle the securing so you can dance without worrying about anything falling out.
- Travel: I travel across Navi Mumbai, Thane, and the Mumbai suburbs to bring the studio to your venue.
