About Timeless & Simple Portraits
For these classic sessions, I keep things easy and stress-free. We skip the costumes and complex sets to focus on natural light and real emotions, whether it is your baby's first toothless grin or a candid moment between siblings. Since I work out of my Sarjapur studio, we can easily control the lighting to get those soft, high-key looks. If you prefer the outdoors, we head to a local park during the golden hour when the light is just right.
Why choose minimalist portraits?
Childhood moves fast, and while themed shoots are fun, there is something grounding about a clean, timeless image. When we remove the distractions of costumes and heavy props, the focus shifts entirely to your child’s expressions—the way they scrunch their nose when they laugh or the protective way they hold a sibling’s hand. These are the portraits that do not date, fitting perfectly in a classic photo frame or on your living room wall for years to come.
What to expect in a session
Whether you are booking a session for your newborn, a milestone birthday, or a family portrait, the process is built around comfort. I do not believe in rigid posing. Instead, I interact, play, and wait for those genuine bursts of laughter. For studio sessions, we use textured white or neutral backdrops that reflect soft, natural light, creating that ethereal, light-filled aesthetic. If we go outdoors, I prefer the soft, warm glow of Bangalore's evening sun in the parks around Sarjapur and HSR Layout, which adds a dreamy layer to your family photos without requiring extra styling.
A few tips for the best results
- Wardrobe Matters: For simple portraits, clothes are your only props. I always recommend wearing solid colors, pastels, or soft whites. Avoid loud prints or neon colors that distract from your face.
- Timing is Everything: I schedule studio sessions keeping your child’s nap time in mind. A well-rested child is a happy child, and that is what makes for a beautiful portrait.
- Collaboration: If you have an heirloom item or a special blanket you want to include, bring it along. While I love the minimalist look, adding one personal element can make the photo deeply yours.
