For your sangeet or reception, I don't follow a rigid script. Whether it’s jumping onto the dance floor during a baraat, spontaneously singing a popular track, or coordinating with your DJ to match the crowd's pulse, I focus on unscripted moments. I arrive 60 minutes early for a sound check to ensure everything from your ring ceremony to the final dance hits the right note.
How I Host Your Sangeet and Reception
I treat sangeet nights and receptions as the heartbeat of your wedding celebration. My approach is simple: if the family is having fun, I am doing my job right. I blend professional hosting with the casual comfort of a friend to keep the energy levels high from the start to the final dance floor exit.
My Hosting Process
- Pre-Event Coordination: I create a run-of-show to organize your family performances, speeches, and entries. This ensures the night flows smoothly without awkward pauses.
- Live Performance: I include a 15-30 minute live singing segment where I perform popular Bollywood and Sufi tracks. I don’t rely solely on backing tracks, allowing me to adjust the tempo based on how the room feels.
- Crowd Engagement: From ice-breaker games that get everyone from your chachu to your bua involved, to impromptu banter, I ensure guests aren't just watching—they are participating.
Planning Your Special Night
When we work together, we plan beyond the mic. We look at the flow of the venue—whether it's the Grand Sheraton in Pune or a destination setup in Lonavala—and adapt the hosting style. If you want a formal tone for the ring ceremony, I keep it polished. If you want the sangeet to turn into a full-on concert, I bring the josh.
