We are a mother-daughter team crafting handmade crochet and macrame treasures. Here is the story of how we turned a passion for stitches into a growing community.
This is me, Nishtha, with a stack of freshly finished blankets. Every order we pack is filled with the same excitement and happiness as our very first one.
My daughter recorded this video of me making an Instagram story. I love interacting with all of you and sharing my work. Even though it's hot, talking with you all never feels like a chore.
My daughter is very proud that I was invited to give a Josh Talk about my entrepreneurial journey. It's amazing to think that students who once learned history from me now order crochet items. It's never too late to follow your passion.
Here I am with a table full of handmade goodies for an order. Many of my old students still keep in touch and order from me, which makes me so proud. I was more than a teacher to them, and now they are a part of my new journey.

About Meet Nishtha & Sakshi
Unlike big brands, we don't work with rigid catalogues. When you reach out, I sit down to chat about what you actually need. Whether it is a specific color for a baby blanket or a pattern idea you saw online, Sakshi and I discuss it with you directly. This simple, personal chat is how we ensure every blanket or macrame piece reflects exactly what you envisioned.
From Teaching History to Creating Art
I spent decades teaching history, political science, and social studies. When I retired at 56, I needed a way to keep my heart and hands busy. I picked up a crochet hook, and it quickly became more than a hobby—it became a way to connect with people and calm the mind. Today, I run this brand alongside my daughter, Sakshi, who brings all the energy and modern ideas to our little workshop.
The 'Nani Jaisa Pyar' Philosophy
Every piece we send out is made with what I call 'Nani jaisa pyar' (love like a grandmother's). We don't believe in mass production. We use high-quality, branded acrylic yarns and velvet-finish chenille for our premium items, ensuring that what you receive is soft, durable, and safe for your little ones.
In 2024, we completed 156 custom orders. Each one was a learning experience, from perfecting our 'Forever Flower' daisy blankets to figuring out complex macrame shelf designs based on requests from our followers. We still take photos in the best corner of our home, and we still get the same nervous excitement when a new order comes in, just like we did with our first 50 followers.
