Apartment Balcony Makeover: Turf & Planters
Flooring & Hardscaping
- Artificial Turf: Supply and installation of high-density (35mm-45mm pile height) artificial grass carpet. Includes precise cutting for corners and drainage trap exposure.
- Decorative Pebbles: Border detailing using polished white stones or river pebbles to cover gaps between turf and walls.
Planters & Pots
- FRP/Composite Planters: 5-7 units of modern, geometric planters (Rectangular Troughs or Tall Squares). Material is lightweight, weather-resistant fiber-reinforced plastic.
- Potting Mix: Premium soil mix treated with anti-fungal powder, bone meal, and vermicompost for longevity in confined pots.
Plant Selection
- Hardy Foliage: Selection of 12-15 plants focusing on survivability in heat (Dracaena varieties, Areca Palms, and Snake Plants).
- Flowering Accents: 2-3 pots of signature Bougainvillea (dwarf variety) for railing placement.
Execution
- Logistics: Transport of all materials from nursery to site (inclusive of lift/stairs handling).
- Setup: One-day execution by a team of 2 skilled gardeners, including post-installation cleanup.
Premium Front Garden: Natural Lawn & Topiary
Lawn Development
- Soil Preparation: Deep tilling (up to 1 ft), removal of debris, and enrichment with Red Soil (Lal Mitti), manure, and DAP fertilizer. Includes anti-termite treatment.
- Natural Grass: Selection No. 1 or Mexican Carpet Grass, installed via dibbling or turf rolls.
Signature Greenery
- Statement Trees: 2 Units of Exotic Ficus Microcarpa or Ficus Long Island styled as Bonsai/Topiary (4ft - 6ft height).
- Border Hedging: Double-row planting of Ficus Panda, Ixora, or Duranta to create a manicured boundary.
- Accents: Clusters of seasonal flowering plants or permanent Cycas Palms.
Hardscaping & Decor
- Stepping Stones: Natural stone pavers (Mint or Agra Red stone) laid in a pathway pattern across the lawn.
- Lighting: 4 to 6 LED spike lights (warm white) focused on the statement trees and textured walls.
Labor & Services
- Horticulture Service: 2-3 days of on-site work involving digging, leveling, planting, and initial watering.
- Maintenance Guide: A verbal walkthrough by the head gardener on pruning the topiary and watering schedules.
Farmhouse & Resort Landscape Execution
Civil & Ground Work
- Site Grading: Leveling of the plot using tractors/JCB if required, including creating mounds and slopes for visual interest.
- Soil Enrichment: Massive induction of farmyard manure and sweet earth (truck-load based mixing).
- Irrigation Prep: Laying of underground PVC pipeline network (2-inch mains) with points for sprinklers/hose pipes.
Softscaping (Plant Material)
- Expansive Lawns: Installation of hardy, drought-tolerant grass varieties suitable for large acreage.
- Tree Plantation: Inclusion of standard shade trees (Neem, Pilkhan) and ornamental palms (Fox Tail, Areca) at calculated distances (approx. 1 tree per 200 sq. ft. included in base rate).
- Shrubbery Beds: Extensive beds of Bougainvillea, Hamelia, and Hibiscus to create color blocks.
Design & Management
- Layout: On-site design marking using lime powder (Chuna) by senior nursery experts (Note: CAD drawings not included).
- Project Management: Dedicated supervisor on site during the execution phase.
- Warranty: 30-day replacement warranty on plants if they fail to root (provided water source is functional).
