Festival and Engagement Mehandi Designs
Mehandi isn't just for the wedding day. Whether it's an engagement, Karva Chauth, or a baby shower, I create custom designs that match the spirit of your celebration.
A Karva Chauth special design, featuring a couple in a romantic pose. This video shows the application process, perfect for celebrating the festival of love.
A special design for Ramzan, featuring a couple in prayer with "Ramzan Mubarak" written beautifully. Mehandi is a way to celebrate all joyous occasions.
A beautiful and intricate design for an engagement ceremony. It features the couple's initials, the date, and ring motifs to celebrate the occasion.
This client from Switzerland was visiting India and wanted to experience mehandi for the first time. I created a design that blended traditional Indian and floral elements for her.
A Karva Chauth design that speaks louder than words. The couple figure is the centerpiece, surrounded by lotus and swan motifs.

This is the outline of the Karva Chauth design, showing the clean sketch before the henna paste is filled in to create the final look.
The final, bold look of the Karva Chauth mehandi, with the dark henna paste creating a stunning contrast against the skin.
My happy client from Switzerland, proudly showing off her first-ever mehandi design. It was a pleasure to introduce her to this beautiful art form.
About Designs for Other Celebrations
For festivals or engagements, the stain quality matters as much as the pattern. I mix my own organic henna cones with eucalyptus oil, which helps the color develop deeply. To keep it dark, follow my simple tip: avoid water for at least 8 hours after I apply it, and you will see the difference by the next morning.
Why My Approach is Different
I don't believe in quick, messy application. Even for smaller events like Karva Chauth or Ramzan, I use the same professional organic henna I use for bridal work. My goal is to ensure your mehandi looks beautiful not just when it's wet, but when it leaves that deep, rich stain later.
Events I Specialize In
- Engagements: I focus on incorporating your ring motifs, the date, and your initials to make the design truly about the new chapter you are starting.
- Festivals: From Karva Chauth to Ramzan, I create themed designs that celebrate the specific mood of the festival, including figures or relevant calligraphy.
- Baby Showers & Social Gatherings: These designs are usually more floral and open, comfortable for long sittings, and quick to dry without sacrificing detail.
My Process
When you book me for an event in Mumbai, I come prepared with my own organic henna and aftercare instructions. I don't use harsh chemicals, so you don't have to worry about skin irritation. I typically suggest we plan the design 2-3 days before your event so we have a clear idea of what you want—whether that’s a full palm design or something delicate and minimalist. If you have any specific cultural symbols or dates you want included, let me know when we book, and I will make sure they are part of the layout.
