About Chrome & Metallic Finishes
People often ask me if the mirror finish lasts—the secret is entirely in the top coat. I seal every chrome set with a hard gel layer to stop it from wearing off, so that glassy, high-shine look stays perfect for weeks, even if you are working with your hands all day.
Chrome nails are all about the base. I use a high-quality gel base before applying the metallic pigment, which is why the mirror effect pops so clearly. Whether you are feeling a classic silver, a bold gold, or a shifting 'unicorn' effect, the key is the final seal.
Without a proper hard gel top coat, chrome powders can dull or chip quickly. At my Patel Nagar and Pitampura studios, I make sure to finish every metallic set with a durable overlay. It adds a bit of thickness that protects the pigment and keeps the shine intact.
