About Metallic, Chrome & Cat Eye Finishes
For our cat-eye finishes, we do not just apply polish. We use specialized magnetic wands to manipulate the particles while the gel is still wet, creating that depth and movement that changes whenever you tilt your hand. It takes a few extra minutes, but that is how we get the perfect shift that makes people look twice.
Whether you want a mirror-like chrome or the deep, shifting look of magnetic cat-eye polish, the secret is in the prep and the top coat.
The Chrome Finish
Our chrome nail art involves buffing high-grade metallic powders into a tack-free top coat. This is not just a standard polish; it requires a specific application technique to get that smooth, mirror-like result. We can do full metallic sets, or just use the chrome for detailed accents on top of gel extensions.
Cat-Eye & Magnetic Effects
This is one of our most popular requests in our Vikaspuri studio. We apply a gel polish infused with metallic particles. Before we cure it, we hold a magnet over the nail to pull the particles into place. This is where the skill comes in. Depending on the angle of the magnet, we can create vertical, diagonal, or circular patterns. The result is a design that looks different from every angle—deep, velvety, and intense.
Durability and Care
Both chrome and cat-eye designs need a high-gloss, chip-resistant finish to protect the effect. We seal every design with a non-wipe, high-durability top coat. When applied correctly on top of our quality acrylic or gel extensions, these finishes typically last 2 to 3 weeks without losing their shine or peeling at the tips.
