About Our Journey & Your Stories
When we started, we didn't just want a shop. We chose to build with raw stone flooring and a semi-open roof, creating a space where the air actually flows naturally. This is how we keep the plants happy and give you that rare feeling of a cool, green breeze even in the middle of a Mumbai summer.
From an empty plot of land to what you see today, My Baagaan was a labor of love. We wanted to solve a simple problem: where do you go when you are tired of the city noise? We didn't want to build just another cafe or a nursery. We wanted a space that feels like a home.
Everything here, from the 1000+ plant varieties to the quiet corners for working or reading, was planned to help you slow down. We know Mumbai moves fast. That is why our cafe is strictly vegetarian and pet-friendly, and our nursery is designed to be a place where you can learn, not just buy.
We focus on practical plant care because we want you to succeed as a plant parent. Whether it is an Areca Palm for your living room or a low-maintenance Snake Plant for your desk, we help you pick what actually survives in your specific light and space conditions. Our Panvel location has become a hub for workshops, painting sessions, and just chilling out with friends. When you visit us, you aren't just a customer. You are part of the family we are growing one leaf at a time.
