Musical Pheras and Interactive Wedding Ceremonies

I transform traditional wedding ceremonies into a shared experience. Through a mix of live music and interactive storytelling, I help you and your guests understand the depth behind every ritual, making your pheras the most meaningful part of the day.

The bride's smile says it all. Hearing her and the guests describe the ceremony as soulful and mesmerizing is the reason I do what I do.

"It had the actual vibes that should be there during pheras." Hearing reviews like this from guests at The Savoy, Mussoorie, is incredibly rewarding. They loved the blend of tradition and meaning.

From the couple to the grandparents, everyone was tuned in. This is what an interactive ceremony is all about, making sure no one feels left out of the celebration.

Smiles all around during a performance in Assam. When the family and guests are enjoying the music and the stories, the entire atmosphere becomes joyful and light.

A guest enjoying a drink while listening to the 'Ram Siya Vivah Geet'. My aim is to create a relaxed yet sacred atmosphere where people can be comfortable and engaged.

A guest joyfully playing the manjira (hand cymbals) along with my 'Badhai Geet'. I love it when the audience becomes part of the performance.

The smile on a mother's face as she listens to the explanation of the Gathbandhan ritual. It's special when the older generation also appreciates this modern approach to traditions.

About this collection

Most couples zone out during their own pheras, but I’m here to change that. I break down rituals like the Gathbandhan and Kanyadaan using simple Hindi and English, so you aren't just performing customs—you’re actually understanding the promises you’re making. It’s an interactive experience where I narrate the vows in a way that keeps both you and your guests fully engaged, ensuring the ceremony feels like a conversation rather than a lecture.

Why Make Your Ceremony Musical?

Traditional ceremonies often turn into a blur. Guests talk, phones come out, and the couple sometimes feels disconnected from the very vows they are taking. My approach is different. Whether I am performing at a heritage property like The Savoy in Mussoorie or a beachside setup in Goa, my goal remains the same: to create a space where everyone is present.

How It Works

  • Interactive Narration: I act as the narrator for your ceremony. I explain the significance of the Saat Vachan, the Saptapadi, and Sindoor Daan in a mix of Hindi and English, so even the non-Hindi speakers or younger family members understand the beauty of what is happening.
  • Live Soundscape: I don't use pre-recorded tracks. My team brings live instruments—guitar, flute, and tabla—to create a soundscape that shifts with the mood of the ritual, from the sacred Vedic chants to the emotional songs played during the vidai.
  • Customization: You decide the vibe. If you want a focus on traditional bhajans and chants, we do that. If you prefer a lighter, more modern approach with Bollywood acoustic covers interspersed with the rituals, I curate the playlist to match your personality.

Practical Details

We typically perform in a 4-piece ensemble for the main pheras, which runs between 90 minutes to 3 hours. For the full ceremony—from the groom's entry to the final vidai—I can scale the band up to a 6-piece group to include female vocals or additional classical instruments like the sitar. My team arrives in color-coordinated ethnic attire, ensuring we blend into the aesthetic of your wedding decor without disrupting the flow.
