Live Caricature Art: Classic and Digital Styles
From bold black and white lines to full-color digital portraits, explore the artistic styles I bring to live events.
A fun family caricature, capturing the smiles of Rohan, Rachita, and little Misha. We can draw individuals, couples, or whole families.
A group caricature of three friends, Zoya, Aziz, and Insiya, from an event in Vidyavihar. Group drawings are a great way to capture shared memories.
A classic black and white caricature of two friends, Spruha and Sneha. My style focuses on bold lines and capturing expressive faces.
A close-up of a finished caricature from an event at the NESCO exhibition centre. The focus is on creating a fun, recognizable, and exaggerated portrait.
A lovely couple caricature for Lazar and Sharon. This classic style is perfect for weddings, anniversaries, and parties.
A mother-daughter caricature, capturing a special family bond in a fun, artistic way.
Another example of a mother-daughter caricature, showcasing the classic black and white style that is quick, fun, and always a crowd-pleaser.
A caricature of a couple, Sudip and Kalpana, from a branding celebration event.
A solo caricature of Bhimesh, showcasing the detailed line work and shading we use to bring the character to life.
A caricature of Tejash from an event in BKC, Bandra. Each drawing is a unique piece of art.
About A Closer Look: The Artwork
If you are planning an event, please remember that my classic black and white sketches take about 4 to 5 minutes per face. This means I can cover roughly 12 to 15 guests in one hour. If you have a larger guest list or a tight schedule, let me know early so we can plan for multiple artists or extended hours to ensure everyone gets their souvenir.
Understanding the Art Styles
I offer two main ways to bring art to your event.
Classic Black & White This is my go-to for high-energy crowds. I use high-quality permanent markers on 250 GSM cardstock. It is fast, bold, and focuses entirely on exaggerated features and expression. Because of the speed, this is perfect for weddings, birthdays, or large exhibitions where you want to keep the line moving and the energy high.
Digital Caricatures For a more modern touch, I use my iPad Pro. This style allows for full-color detailing. The best part? Guests walk away with an instant 4x6 glossy print, and I can also Airdrop or email the high-resolution file to them immediately. This works well for corporate brand activations where you want to include logos or social media sharing.
Practical Details for Your Venue
- Space: I need a simple setup: a 4ft x 2ft table and three chairs.
- Branding: For corporate gigs, I can pre-print your company logo on the paper, turning every sketch into a branded takeaway.
- Tech (Digital Only): If you opt for the digital package, ensure there is a power socket within 2 meters. If you want to mirror the drawing process on a big screen for the audience, just let me know, and I can plug into your projector or TV.
Whether it is a family sangeet in Mumbai or a corporate product launch anywhere in India, my focus is the same: capturing the laugh, not just the face.
Vishal Barje
I turn faces into stories. My goal isn't just to sketch; it is to make your guests laugh when they see their cartoon selves. Whether it is a family wedding or a corporate launch, I bring the same energy I had back in my school days in Dapoli—loud, fun, and real.
