Manual Relocation (Semi-Mature Trees)
Excavation & Preparation
Manual digging of a 3x3 ft planting pit at the new site, including soil loosening and the addition of organic manure.
Root Ball Treatment
Trenching a 2-3 ft radius around the base to isolate roots, followed by tight wrapping with breathable jute sacks and coir ropes. Includes application of rooting hormones and anti-fungal agents (e.g., Bavistin) to cut surfaces.
Movement & Replanting
Manual lifting and movement (trolley or dragging) up to 100 meters within the compound. Replanting at the correct depth with enriched soil backfilling and water basin creation.
Support System
Installation of 2-3 bamboo or casuarina poles tied with ropes to stabilize the tree against wind during the rooting phase.
Crane-Assisted Relocation (Mature Trees)
Heavy Machinery
Utilization of a Hydra crane or JCB for lifting. Includes manual labor for precise root pruning to ensure the root ball remains intact during the mechanical lift.
Canopy Management
Selective pruning of 20-30% of branches to reduce transpiration shock and balance weight. Cut ends are sealed to prevent infection.
Packaging & Transport
Multi-layer wrapping of the root ball with heavy-duty jute sacking and rope binding. Covers shifting within a large campus or short-distance transport (5-10km) via flatbed.
Planting & Stabilization
Preparation of a large pit (5x5 ft or larger) mixed with river sand, red soil, and compost. Includes tree alignment and 3-way structural guying using sturdy Casuarina or Eucalyptus poles.
Regulatory Note
Client is responsible for securing necessary forest department or government permissions for tree cutting or shifting.
