About Glamorous Curls, Waves & Open Styles
To keep curls from drooping, I always section hair horizontally and use a 22mm or 25mm tong. The real secret is using a steel clip to hold the curl in place until it cools, followed by a G-comb to open up the volume without losing the pattern. If you are worried about frizz or your style falling flat, these are the steps that change everything.
Why Your Curls Need Structure
Many clients worry that open hairstyles won't last through the event. I have seen it happen—curls open up, lose their shine, or go flat halfway through the sangeet. That is why I do not just curl hair. I build a foundation.
I start with a light crimping at the roots if volume is low. When working with tongs, I use the twisting and pulling technique to ensure the wave pattern is smooth, not tight or tangled. For that Hollywood glam look, the technique matters more than the tool. I use a G-comb to open up the curls, which adds that soft, bouncy movement you see in my gallery without sacrificing the hold.
Customizing Your Look
- For Cocktail & Engagement: We can go with sleek Hollywood waves or half-up styles with a delicate bow or pearl accessory. These styles frame the face and look great on camera.
- For Sangeet & Mehendi: If you are planning to dance, I often recommend adding a braid to the side or a half-up twist. It keeps the hair off your face while keeping the length open and flowing.
- For Short Hair: Do not worry if your hair is short or thin. I can work with clip-in extensions to add the necessary volume and length for those dramatic waves.
Pro Care
I do not just finish and leave. I use high-grade setting sprays like Silhouette to lock in the look for 12+ hours. When I am done, your hair should feel light, not weighed down by product. If you have a specific outfit neckline in mind, let me know, and we can plan the waves to complement it perfectly.
