Let’s celebrate your journey with the warmth, colors, and grace of Indian tradition. Whether it’s the elegance of a Banarasi saree or the sacred glow of a diya, I love capturing the spiritual essence of your motherhood.

A portrait of a mother-to-be, glowing with happiness and tradition. The combination of the red banarasi saree and the soft dupatta creates such an elegant look for a pregnancy photoshoot.

A beautiful moment of togetherness during a traditional maternity session. The husband's gentle embrace while his wife holds the ceremonial diya symbolizes their shared journey and blessings.

The bond between a mother and her firstborn is so special. Here, he joins her in this traditional maternity shoot, ready to welcome his new sibling into the family.

A serene moment of reflection. This seated pose in a gorgeous red saree, surrounded by flowers and traditional decor, captures the quiet joy of waiting for your little one.

A mother's love, reflected in her daughter's eyes. This sweet photo captures the connection between them as they both celebrate the baby on the way in a traditional setting.

A moment of prayer and gratitude. This expecting mother performs a small ritual, bringing a sense of peace and divinity to her traditional Indian maternity photoshoot.

The flowing red saree against a warm, glowing backdrop creates such a dreamy and powerful image. The smoke from the diya adds a touch of sacred magic to this maternity portrait.

Adding a peacock feather, a symbol of grace and beauty, to this traditional maternity shoot. It’s these small details that make each session unique and meaningful.

A beautiful pose capturing the mother-to-be offering prayers. The entire setup, with marigold garlands and brass diyas, is designed to celebrate our rich cultural heritage.

A behind the scenes look at our Mahashivratri themed maternity shoot. We wanted to capture the divine energy and blessings of this special time.

About Desi Vibes: Traditional Indian Maternity

When we shoot these traditional themes in my DLF Phase 5 studio, we don't just focus on the pose. We set the mood with marigolds, brass lamps, and authentic drapes that make you feel like royalty. My team handles all the styling, so you just need to focus on feeling beautiful and comfortable.

In our Indian-themed maternity sessions, we move beyond standard studio backdrops. I love incorporating cultural elements that make these photos timeless, like the soft light of a diya, the intricate weave of a Banarasi saree, or the vibrant touch of marigold garlands. It’s about more than just a photo—it’s about ‘maa ki chhavi’ (the image of a mother) and capturing that spiritual essence you carry.

We have a dedicated space in my studio where we curate these ‘Desi Vibes.’ Whether it's a Navratri or Mahashivratri-inspired theme, or just a classic traditional look, we handle everything from the styling to the prop placement. Your partner and older kids are absolutely encouraged to join in; in fact, some of my favorite shots are the ones where a big brother or sister helps hold the diya or shares a laugh.

We keep the environment relaxed. If you have a family heirloom saree you’d love to wear, please bring it! My goal is to make the session feel like a celebration rather than a rigid photoshoot. If you’re unsure about posing, don’t worry—I guide you through every movement to ensure you look radiant and comfortable throughout the session. ✨

Hi, I’m Ritika! People call me the MOMMY photographer, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I’m a firm believer that pregnancy is a story worth telling with heart, tradition, and a little bit of color. When I’m not chasing giggles in the studio, I’m probably dreaming up new ways to bring our beautiful Indian festivals to life in your maternity portraits.
