About Maternity Portraits: Timeless Traditions
These traditional fine art sessions are a full, relaxed experience rather than a quick shoot. I dedicate two to three hours to your session to ensure we get the perfect pose and mood. We start with styling in my Ulwe studio, using my collection of authentic sarees and traditional jewelry, so you do not need to stress about sourcing props or finding the right accessories yourself.
When I visualize these portraits, I look to the rich textures and deep lighting of Indian classic art. My goal is to capture you in a way that feels like a painting. We usually plan for two setups in this package: one that focuses on that grand, Raja Ravi Varma-inspired traditional aesthetic, and another that highlights a more modern, minimal maternity look.
Being comfortable is my priority. You have full access to my studio wardrobe, which includes a range of silk sarees and intricate jewelry suitable for maternity wear. I personally assist with the saree draping to ensure the silhouette is perfect and your bump is celebrated elegantly.
Whether you want to include your partner or your older children, these portraits are about documenting the legacy you are building. It is a slow, steady process. We do not rush. If you need a break or want to change outfits, we take the time. By the end of the session, you get high-resolution, professionally retouched images with that signature painterly effect. It is about freezing this specific chapter of your life in a way that you will look back on for years to come.
