About Traditional Maternity Portraits
Many expectant mothers worry about how to balance a traditional look with a modern pregnancy photoshoot. In my studios in Andheri and Thane, I take the stress out of the process by providing the traditional drapes, props, and lighting. This allows you to focus entirely on the emotional connection with your growing family rather than managing the logistics of your outfit.
Whether you want to honor your Keralan roots with a classic white and gold Kasavu saree or embrace the vibrancy of a Maharashtrian Nauvari, these sessions are designed to reflect your specific cultural identity. I believe pregnancy is a profound chapter in your family story, and bringing tradition into the frame adds a layer of depth that creates an enduring heirloom.
What to Expect
We keep the setup relaxed. You do not need to hunt for outfits or struggle with complex drapes; my studio collection includes various traditional fabrics and accessories suited for maternity silhouettes. We focus on posing that is gentle on your body, using soft, warm lighting to highlight your pregnancy glow.
Family and Connection
Your partner and older siblings are welcome to join. Seeing a brother or sister interact with the bump while you are dressed in traditional attire creates some of the most heartwarming images I capture. We also incorporate vintage props, like the gramophone or curated floral arrangements, to bridge the past and the future.
Practical Details
- Session Focus: Primarily indoor at my Andheri or Thane studios for better control over lighting and privacy.
- Styling: I guide you on how to wear traditional drapes comfortably to suit your pregnancy bump.
- Timeline: Ideally, we book between the 28th and 32nd week when you are feeling your most radiant.
