Kyokushin Karate Summer Camp in Nainital
Step out of the dojo and into the hills. Our annual Kyokushin Karate adventure camp in Nainital is where discipline meets nature, building stamina and a deep family spirit among our students.

Rewarding the students with gifts at the end of the camp to appreciate their hard work and dedication. They have all earned it.
A proud moment with my students. Seeing them grow in skill and confidence is the greatest reward for me as their Sensei.

Another great team photo by the water. The different colored belts show the mix of experience levels we have at our camp, where everyone learns from each other.

About The Journey & Team Photos
We don't just train within the four walls of the dojo. During our Nainital camp, students experience the full intensity of Kyokushin karate in the wild—performing kihon and kata on forest trails and using the natural resistance of lake water to build stamina. It is a rigorous, transformative experience that pairs hard physical drills with evening bonfires and team-building, turning our students into a real karate family.
This is not a leisure trip; it is an immersive 5-day Kyokushin Karate training experience designed to test endurance and character. We travel from our academy in Badarpur, Delhi, to the mountains of Nainital, where the environment itself becomes the training ground.
The Training Regime
We strip away the comfort of the mats. Training sessions involve morning endurance runs and technical kata practice in forest clearings. We utilize the natural terrain for strength training, including lake water resistance drills which are physically demanding but crucial for building the 'Kyokushin spirit.'
Beyond the Dojo
While the focus is on karate, we believe in a balance of discipline and bonding. Afternoons and evenings are dedicated to trekking, team games, and shared vegetarian meals. This helps students connect with each other, breaking down the barriers often found in city classrooms. It is here that they learn that true martial arts is about more than just fighting—it is about respecting your peers and finding joy in collective effort.
Outdoor Belt Grading
The camp concludes with the most significant event: the outdoor Kyokushin belt grading. Students demonstrate their skills before the Sensei and their peers with the mountains as their backdrop. Passing a belt test here requires not just technique, but the mental toughness to push through fatigue in a completely new environment. It is a moment of pride that stays with students long after they return to Delhi.
DharmPal
I am DharmPal, and for me, karate is a way of life, not just a sport. I take my students into the hills to teach them that hard work in nature builds a level of focus and respect you simply cannot replicate inside a city gym.
