Dog Training Vests and Apparel for Handlers
When you are in the field, your clothing needs to work as hard as you do. I designed these vests and skirts because standard gear often lacks the right pocket placement for treats and training toys.
Here is a look at my trainer vest in blue. You can see the front pockets for small items and the large pass-through pocket at the back, which is perfect for holding a bite tug or a reward ball. It keeps your hands free during sessions.
I developed this training skirt as an alternative to the full vest. It offers the same functionality with deep, accessible pockets for treats and tools, making it a great option for handlers who want something lighter, especially in warmer weather.

This is a straight-on view of the blue trainer vest. The K9 logo shows your professional commitment, and the zippered front keeps everything secure, whether you're running, bending, or working a dog.

About Vests & Apparel for Handlers
The most frustrating part of training is fumbling for a reward when your dog is ready. Regular clothing rarely has the right pocket layout for active sessions. My designs use a heavy-duty polyester blend that resists dog claws, and I specifically included a rear kangaroo pocket. It is built so you can hide a ball or tug quickly to keep your dog's focus during a session, without fumbling.
I started making this gear because nothing in the market was actually designed for a full day of training. I needed clothing that could handle the wear and tear of real fieldwork and keep my tools accessible.
Why This Gear Works
Every piece I make serves a specific purpose in your training routine:
- Kangaroo Pocket: The rear pass-through pocket on my vests is the most important feature. It allows you to conceal large tug toys or balls, keeping them out of your dog's sight until the exact moment you want to reward them.
- Material Choice: I use a heavy-duty polyester and Matty blend. It is not just about keeping you comfortable. This fabric is designed to resist dog nails and is machine washable, so it survives dirt, mud, and daily use.
- Functional Fit: Whether you prefer a full vest or a training skirt, the design is boxy and loose enough to layer over clothes in winter but light enough to stay cool in summer. The pockets are positioned where your hands naturally fall, making access to your clickers or treats instant.
Designed by a Trainer, for a Trainer
I don't make this stuff for the runway. I make it for the field. I wear this gear every day, and I see other handlers struggle with gear that rips easily or hides treats in the wrong place. If you are looking for apparel that prioritizes performance and durability over fancy aesthetics, this is it. It is simple, functional, and built to last through the toughest sessions.
