My Journey and Life with My Pack
Training isn't just a career for me; it is the fabric of my life. This is a look into the adventures, the real-world lessons, and the bond with my pack that shaped my approach at Mitali’s Board and Train.
A look back at 14 years with my first baby girl, Pantu. From her first picture in 2011 to her starring in a Swacch Bharat ad, she has been with me through everything and is the one who started this family.
This is me as a little girl. My love for dogs started very early, and I spent most of my childhood playing outdoors with them. It's a passion that has shaped my entire life.
I hit the jackpot with this man. My husband Ali and I have grown up together, and I learn something new from him every day. I couldn't do what I do without his support.
Traveling with my dog is one of my greatest joys. Here we are, my husband Ali, Pantu, and me, ready to start our journey from Mumbai to Delhi on the train.
A montage of our incredible road trip from Mumbai to Gurez Valley in Kashmir with Pantu. Adventures are always better with a dog by your side.
Here's how we prepped our car for the long road trip to Kashmir. We removed the back seats to make a comfortable, flat space for Pantu's bed so she could travel safely and comfortably.
Packing for a road trip with a dog requires its own suitcase! Here's a look at all the essentials I pack for Pantu, from her mat and jackets to supplements and first-aid items.
Safety first! Before our trip, we fitted Pantu's collar with an Apple AirTag and, most importantly, a name tag with our number. A good recall is the best tool, but backups are always a good idea.
Pantu enjoying the view from the train window on our way to Delhi. Exposing her to different sights and sounds from a young age has made her an amazing travel companion.
Pantu waiting patiently at the busy Mumbai train station. Her ability to stay calm in chaotic environments is a result of years of consistent training and socialization.
About My Journey & My Pack
People often ask how I started, or why I’m so focused on relationship-based training. It isn't just theory—it’s the result of 14 years on the road with my own dogs, navigating everything from local street dog encounters to long-distance train travel. When you choose to work with me, you’re not getting a generic training manual; you’re getting the perspective of someone who has lived through every challenge I teach you to overcome.
My path to becoming a dog trainer began with my girl, Pantu, back in 2011. She wasn't just a pet; she was the teacher who forced me to look beyond 'sit' and 'stay' and start understanding dog psychology.
My work is grounded in real-world exposure. Whether it is teaching a puppy how to handle the noise of Mumbai traffic or helping an anxious rescue find its footing, my methods are born from experience, not textbooks. I believe that training is a partnership. If you are struggling with leash lunging, resource guarding, or just want to build a better recall so you can take your dog on adventures like the ones I share here, we need to start by shifting your mindset.
At Mitali’s Board and Train in Chandivali, we don't do cookie-cutter fixes. Every dog has a personality, a history, and a specific set of needs. We create structured, balanced programs that address the root cause of behavior—not just the symptoms. From our intensive residential rehabilitation to virtual behavioral consultations, the goal is always the same: to give you the tools to be your dog's leader and anchor. If you are ready to put in the work and build a relationship that goes deeper than commands, I am ready to guide you.

I’m Mitali, and my life revolves around dogs—mine, yours, and the ones we help every day. My world was shaped by Pantu, my first dog, and the challenges we faced together, which is exactly why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all training. If you're looking for someone who gets the chaos, the love, and the real-world grit of living with a dog, you’ve found us.
