My Journey: Life, Lessons, and Dog Training
I’m Mitali. Behind every training plan I create, there’s a real, messy, beautiful life shaped by dogs. Here is the story that brought me here.
Let's get reacquainted! This is me as a little girl. I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. In this post, I share a few random facts about myself, including my personal health journey and my dog Panty and cat Chaddi.
This is where it all began. This is my first baby girl, Pantu, from her first picture in 2011 to her 14th birthday. She is the reason I started this journey and the inspiration behind my entire family and career.
This picture was taken on a very significant day for me. It marks two years since my neurocysticercosis diagnosis. In the caption, I open up about my health struggles and how this journey has challenged and changed me.
An unplanned birthday adventure with my husband Ali and our dog Pantu. We went glamping and did everything from raft boats to military-themed obstacle courses. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I meet interesting dogs all over the world! On a trip to Morocco, I met Rocky, the quad-biking dog. It's amazing to see the unique bonds people form with their dogs in different cultures.
After 12 years of training, my students are growing older. This is Jedi, a gorgeous German Shepherd I trained 11 years ago. His family asked me to visit him a few days before he passed, and I'm so grateful for that last snuggle.
Another precious moment with Jedi. The relationships I build with my clients and their dogs are for life. It's a blessing to be a part of their entire journey.
On our road trip back from Patnitop, we made sure Pantu was comfortable and eating well. Traveling with a dog requires planning, but it's always worth it to have them with you on your adventures.
About My Journey: Life, Lessons & My Dogs
My approach to dog training isn’t based on textbooks, but on the 14 years I’ve spent navigating life with my dogs. When you see me working, you’re seeing lessons learned from my own pack—from the early days with Pantu to managing my team of 15 while handling personal health challenges. I treat every dog based on who they are today, not just what they should be on paper.
Why My Story Matters for Your Dog
People often ask if dog training is just a job. For me, it is an identity. My journey started when I was 19, long before I had a formal facility. I learned the hard way that dog behaviour isn’t about forcing obedience; it is about communication, building respect, and understanding the unique psychology of the animal in front of you.
Over the last decade, I have been diagnosed with neurocysticercosis, navigated complex health challenges, and grown my team from 8 to 20. These experiences taught me resilience and empathy—traits that I bring into every training session. I know what it feels like when life feels chaotic, and I know how grounding a well-behaved, happy dog can be in those moments.
How We Work Together
I don’t believe in cookie-cutter training programs. Whether you are dealing with puppy socialization, severe leash aggression, or separation anxiety, I look at the whole picture. I consider your home environment, your dog's temperament, and your own comfort level as a pet parent.
- Individual Focus: Every dog is unique. I tailor my methods to fit your dog's personality.
- Team Effort: My team and I operate as a family. When you work with us, you aren't just hiring a trainer; you are joining a community of people who genuinely care about your dog's wellbeing.
- Beyond Training: We believe in creating kinder communities. From adoption support to educating children on safety, we want to make the world better for all dogs, not just those who come to us for training.
If you are looking for someone who sees the human side of pet parenting, you are in the right place. Let’s talk about your dog.
