Raising Kids and Dogs Together
I’m a dog mom, human mom, and certified trainer. Here is a look into my own family life and the reality of keeping everyone happy and safe.
Happy birthday to the one who prepared me for motherhood and lights up our world. This picture captures the beautiful bond that's possible when we raise our children, both human and canine, with love and respect.
I truly believe you should never let your kids grow up without a dog. The lessons in empathy, responsibility, and unconditional love are priceless. Dogs just make the world a better place.
First things first. Teaching my son that his furry sister is just as important. These quiet moments of connection are what build a strong, lifelong sibling bond.
Research suggests a child's relationship with the family pet can be as close as their bond with a sibling. Seeing them together, I have no doubt that it's true. Pets are family.
A perfect afternoon. Enjoying the simple moments of a picnic on the grass with my husband, my baby, and my dog. This is the peaceful family life I work to help my clients achieve.
My two babies. Moments like these, where they can just coexist peacefully and curiously, are my absolute favorite. This is the result of careful management and teaching mutual respect from day one.
A little snapshot of my life. A family staycation where everyone is included. Being able to travel and have adventures with my entire family, dog included, is so important to me.
If this isn't pure love, I don't know what is. Even when we're on holiday without our dog, our son can't stop looking for her and taking her name. Their bond is so real and heartwarming.
I decided early on that having a baby wasn't going to stop me from taking my dog on adventures. Our dream team just got bigger, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
My son watching me play with our dog. I make it a point to have these moments together, so he can see the joy and love in our interactions and inherit that same love for dogs.
About Our Family Album
You see the peaceful moments in these photos, but getting here wasn't magic. It was about setting boundaries, respecting my dog's space, and practicing consistent communication. If you are struggling to find that balance, you do not need a quick fix or a miracle. You need a realistic plan that works for both your human baby and your furry one.
I often hear parents say, 'I just want them to be friends.' But expecting a dog to immediately bond with a new baby is where the trouble starts. My approach is not about forced interaction or hoping for the best. It is about management. In these photos, you see my daily life. That calm is built on the fact that my dog always has a retreat zone and my son knows how to respect it.
Whether you are dealing with a jealous dog, an anxious pup who reacts to baby cries, or just the pure exhaustion of managing both, I can help. I offer 1-on-1 virtual consultations to audit your home setup and in-home training packages across Bengaluru if you need hands-on help with stroller drills and sound desensitization. Let's stop guessing and start training for a safer, calmer household.
