I love the grace of South Indian weddings. From rich Kanjeevaram drapes to traditional temple jewellery, I create looks that are authentically beautiful and perfect for your special ceremony.

A golden goddess. This bride is glowing in her gold Kanjeevaram saree. I created a classic South Indian bridal look with bold eyes, a red lip, and a radiant finish to match the richness of the silk.

A clean and minimalistic glam look for this beautiful bride. Her green and maroon silk saree is paired with soft, shimmery eye makeup and a subtle lip, finished with a delicate hairstyle.

All about that golden goodness. This look features a stunning gold shimmer on the eyes, a bold red lip, and traditional gold jewellery, perfect for a classic South Indian wedding.

Traditional and beautiful in a vibrant pink silk saree. The makeup is soft and elegant, with defined eyes and a simple bun adorned with fresh flowers.

Happy brides are the prettiest. This bride's joy is infectious, and her makeup is designed to match, with bright eyes and a glowing smile complementing her beautiful silk saree.

A lovely look for Ambika in her pink silk saree. The makeup features soft pink tones on the eyes and cheeks, paired with long, flowing curls for a romantic feel.

A radiant before-and-after transformation for a South Indian bride. The final look features classic winged eyeliner, a deep red lip, and perfectly sculpted brows to complement her temple jewellery.

About this collection

Styling for a South Indian wedding involves balancing heavy silk sarees and gold temple jewellery without letting the makeup get lost. My focus is on creating a radiant base that stays fresh under bright stage lights while ensuring your eye makeup and lip shades complement, rather than clash with, the rich colors of your Kanjeevaram.

When you have a stunning Kanjeevaram or a traditional silk saree, the makeup needs to be intentional. I love working with South Indian brides because the jewellery is so iconic, but it can be heavy.

My Approach to Muhurtham & Reception Looks

  • Skin Prep: For early morning muhurthams, I use a skin-prep routine that hydrates so your foundation doesn't look dry or flaky by the time you're on stage.
  • Eye Artistry: Whether you want a classic wing or something with a bit of shimmer to match your gold coins, I keep the eyes defined but soft.
  • Colour Harmony: I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all look. If you are wearing a bright emerald or a royal blue, I adjust the undertones of the makeup to make sure you look harmonious, not washed out.

The Practical Side

I handle the full setup:

  • Hairstyling: From complex South Indian braids with fresh flowers (poola jada) to modern buns, my team and I handle it all.
  • Draping: A Kanjeevaram or heavy silk saree needs to be draped perfectly to stay secure for hours. I make sure the pleats are crisp and the pallu stays exactly where it should, so you can move around comfortably.

Whether you are going for a traditional look with a red bindi and nose ring or something more contemporary, my goal is to make you look in the mirror and recognize yourself, just with a little extra magic.
