About Indo-Arabic & Floral Styles
When I work with Indo-Arabic styles, I focus on the balance between bold, sweeping lines and delicate, intricate filler work. Unlike traditional designs that cover every inch of skin, this style uses negative space to make the henna pattern pop. If you choose this for your wedding or event, I always use a lemon-sugar sealant after application to help achieve that deep, rich stain we all love. It takes a little extra patience, but the results are worth it.
The Indo-Arabic style is one of my personal favourites because it is so versatile. It brings together the architectural strength of Arabic vines—which are often bold and flowing—with the refined, intricate motifs of Indian mehendi, like mandalas and floral fillers. Whether you are a bride looking for something modern yet classic, or a guest wanting a design that stands out, this style works beautifully.
I focus on creating patterns that flow naturally with the shape of your hand. You will see lotuses, roses, and paisleys woven into the design, which I create using 100% natural henna paste. I mix this paste myself, without chemicals, to ensure a dark, long-lasting stain.
Because I travel across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area—from Malad to Kharghar—I often work in different lighting and settings. My approach to application remains the same: steady, focused, and calm. I believe that if the process is handled with care and 'sabr' (patience), the outcome is a blessing.
If you are planning an event, we can discuss how much coverage you want. For example, some brides prefer an Indo-Arabic design that goes mid-forearm, while others might prefer a wrist-length version for a sangeet or engagement function. Every design is custom-drawn based on what feels right for your celebration.
