The finishing of a mehandi design shows the artist's struggle and hard work. Getting clean lines is not easy. It comes from years of practice, and that is what I want to teach my students.
Someone asked me where I find the most peace. My answer is simple: in my work. This art is my meditation, and I put my whole heart into every design I create.
About My Art, My Voice
Getting clean lines and intricate detailing takes time. There is no shortcut. If you are looking for someone who rushes, that is not me. But if you value finishing that stands out and an artist who treats your hands like a canvas, we will get along just fine.
Mehndi is a slow, meditative process. It is about the connection between the artist’s hand and the client’s skin. When I work, I do not think about speed; I think about the flow of the design. My work in Turbhe and across Navi Mumbai is rooted in this belief. Whether it is a full-arm bridal design or a delicate Arabic trail, every motif is drawn with intention.
I often hear questions about why the process takes so long. The reality is, intricate artistry requires patience. You cannot rush a portrait or a complex jharokha pattern without compromising on the finish. My approach to henna design relies on steady pressure and precise composition.
If you are coming to me for training, you will learn that this is not just about holding a cone. It is about understanding the paste consistency, mastering hand drills, and learning the science of the stain. We do not believe in jugad (quick fixes) here. My classes, held right near Turbhe Railway Station, are designed for those who truly want to understand the craft—from mixology to complex bridal layouts.
