Creative Mehndi Design Sketches & Patterns
Before any cone touches skin, my ideas start here on paper. Use these sketches as a lookbook for inspiration, or we can use them as a foundation to create something unique for you.

A floral design sketch on paper. This is how I often plan out complex patterns before applying them to a client's hand.
About My Design Book
Most people assume a mehndi artist just picks up a cone and starts drawing, but my best work starts right here on paper. I spend hours sketching these patterns—testing new mandala centers or figuring out how to balance bold lotuses with fine jaali work—so that when I’m actually working on your hands, my lines are already fluid and confident. This sketchbook isn't just for show; it’s my laboratory for new ideas and my way of ensuring that whatever goes onto your skin is well-planned, not rushed.
From Sketchbook to Skin
When you see these practice designs, you are seeing the 'mehnat' behind the art. A steady hand with a cone comes from muscle memory, and I believe in keeping my skills sharp by sketching daily. If you like a specific vine, floral element, or geometric border you see here, we can replicate it or modify it to fit your event perfectly.
Why Custom Designs Matter
Mehndi is not just about copying a picture you found on Pinterest. It is about proportion. A design that looks great on a paper template needs to be adapted to the shape of your palm, the length of your fingers, and the overall vibe of your event.
- For Brides: We can take these floral motifs and integrate your story, wedding date, or custom portraits.
- For Guests: If you want a quick but elegant Arabic vine or a modern mandala, I can adapt these sketches into something that fits your time constraints without losing that hand-drawn charm.
My Approach to Patterns
I love playing with symmetry and density. Whether it is a dense Indo-Arabic fusion or a minimalist, spaced-out floral pattern, my process remains the same: I map out the flow of the design first. If you have an idea in your head, bring it to me. Let’s talk about your vision, look at these reference styles, and design something that feels like 'you' for your special day. Based in Navi Mumbai, I am ready to travel to your venue across the MMR or Pune to bring these paper designs to life.
