Learn to Paint with My Online Watercolor Workshops
I’ll guide you from your very first brushstroke to a finished painting you'll be proud of. Whether you’re a total newbie or looking to pick up a brush again, let’s make art together from your own home. 🎨
This peaceful lakeside dock painting is a favorite from my online watercolor course. We focus on blending blues and creating realistic reflections in the water.
Here is my demonstration piece for the vintage lantern painting. I show you how to layer colors to create the glowing light effect and the texture of the brick wall.
This is the fantastic result from a student in my beginner's class who followed the lantern tutorial. It's wonderful to see students master these techniques so quickly.
We explored lush greenery and textures in this garden gate painting from another online watercolor batch. This piece teaches techniques for painting foliage and wood.
To show a different style, we also paint fun subjects like these delicious-looking donuts. This lesson covers how to create depth, shadow, and glossy icing effects with watercolors.
This is another student's take on the donut painting. It's amazing to see the fantastic results after just a two-day session, especially for someone new to watercolors.
This graphic outlines the core skills you will learn in my watercolor workshop. We cover everything from an introduction to the medium to brush care, so you feel confident to continue painting on your own.
About Online Watercolor Workshops
These aren't pre-recorded videos where you just watch and struggle. We get on a live Zoom call where I walk you through everything, step-by-step. I keep the batch size small (5-10 people) so I can see what you’re doing, correct your brush angle, and make sure your color mixing feels right. You'll leave with a painting you actually finished yourself, not just a draft.
Why Join My Online Watercolor Class?
Painting is my way of unwinding, and I want it to be yours too. I’ve structured these workshops to be simple, relaxing, and very hands-on. You don't need to be an expert to start; you just need the curiosity to try. In just two days, we go from holding the brush correctly to finishing a full landscape or floral piece.
What We Actually Do
We focus on the essentials that make watercolors fun rather than frustrating:
- Technique building: We cover wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and proper blending gradients so your colors look soft and natural.
- The Basics: We spend time on paper quality and palette management, so you know exactly what to buy and why it matters.
- Interactive Learning: Because these are live sessions via Zoom, you can ask questions, show me your strokes, and get immediate feedback.
What You Need to Bring
Since this is an online class, you will need to arrange a few supplies beforehand. I keep the requirements manageable so you don't overspend before you've even started:
- Paper: 300 GSM watercolor paper (this is important, regular paper won't hold the paint).
- Paints: Artist-grade watercolor tubes.
- Brushes: Round brushes (size 4 and 8).
- Extras: Masking tape, a palette, and a jar of water.
If you have been waiting for a sign to start that hobby you keep putting off, this is it. Let's make something beautiful together.
