Ashadeep Vidyashram: A Sanctuary for Learning
This project in rural Varanasi is a testament to how architecture can nurture learning and community. I designed this school as a space for joy and ownership, using sustainable practices and local context to create what its founder calls a "magic castle" where children's dreams can take flight.
1 Shanthi Road: An Urban Art & Culture Hub
My breakthrough project, 1 Shanthi Road, was about transforming a home into a living ecosystem for artists. This cluster showcases the space's evolution and its role as a cultural landmark, including the 'Playfield 1SR' exhibition where we explored the building's identity through art.
Adaptive Reuse & Contextual Design
I believe in respecting history while creating functional, modern spaces. This work showcases my approach to adaptive reuse, where I transform existing structures and upcycle materials like old doors and windows to give them new life and meaning, as seen in the Kalasangama project.
Placemaking & Public Art
Through my collective, MapBee, I work to give neighbourhoods a soul using creative placemaking strategies. This includes designing large-scale public spaces like the Hutti Museum Park and drawing inspiration from ephemeral public art that brings communities together.
