Durable Terrace Pergolas and Rooftop Sheds in Bangalore
I build solid terrace pergolas and rooftop sheds designed to handle Bangalore weather. No weak structures or quick fixes, just honest metal fabrication that lasts for years.
A view of a completed mild steel frame for a terrace pergola. The structure is now ready for the client's choice of roofing, whether it's toughened glass, PUF sheets, or tiles.
On-site consultation and planning are key. Here, I am discussing the structural details with my team to ensure the load distribution is correct for this rooftop pergola.
This view from a spiral staircase shows how I integrate the pergola structure with the existing building design. The work is clean and the final structure looks like a natural extension of the home.
A simple, strong, and functional pergola frame installed on a residential terrace. This dark brown painted frame provides a modern look while being extremely durable.

This is a heavy structure built on top of an existing residential building. My work is designed for long-term performance and weather protection, no matter the size.
About Terrace Pergolas & Rooftop Sheds
When you are planning a rooftop shed, the frame is what actually matters, not just the top cover. I use 1.5mm to 2mm thick mild steel pipes for every structure to ensure it doesn't bend or sag under heavy rain, regardless of whether you choose toughened glass, PUF sheets, or Mangalore tiles for the roof.
A rooftop structure is a long-term investment. If the welding is poor or the steel is too thin, it will rust within two seasons. In Bangalore, where we deal with both intense sun and heavy monsoons, my process focuses on heavy-duty Mild Steel (MS) frameworks that are properly grounded and sealed.
Why My Fabrication Stands Out
- Material Strength: I only use 1.5mm to 2mm thick MS pipes for terrace frameworks. Thinner pipes might look fine initially, but they warp and fail under wind pressure or the weight of glass.
- Rust Protection: Every frame gets one coat of Red Oxide anti-corrosive primer followed by two coats of synthetic enamel paint. I don't skip the painting process because rust is the biggest enemy of metal sheds.
- Weather Sealing: Whether it is a Toughened Glass Pergola or a PUF Sheet Shed, I use high-grade silicone sealants at every joint and overlap point. This is how I prevent leaks, which is the most common problem owners face after installation.
Choosing Your Roof
- Toughened Glass: Best for a modern aesthetic. It is heavy, so the grid is spaced specifically to distribute the load evenly, and I use structural sealants to bond the glass securely.
- PUF Sheets: If your goal is heat reduction, this is the practical choice. It dampens rain noise and keeps the space beneath much cooler than metal or glass.
- Mangalore Tiles: These offer a classic, timeless look. They require a specific truss fabrication to support the interlocking weight of the clay tiles properly.
I personally visit your site in Bangalore to check your wall strength and rooftop layout before quoting. No hidden charges, just a solid build.
