Behind the Scenes of My Wedding Styling Process
Styling isn't just about the final look. It is about the fabric hunts, the laughter-filled fittings, and the connection we build along the way. Here is a peek into how I work.
The styling journey in action. Here I am during a fitting with the bride, Aashvi, making sure every detail of her Amit Aggarwal gown is absolutely perfect. This collaborative process is my favorite part.
A behind-the-scenes moment from the wedding day. Getting the bride's hair and dupatta just right is a team effort, ensuring she feels confident and beautiful from every angle.
This is what it's all about! A happy, messy selfie with the groom after a fun-filled Haldi ceremony. These are the moments I cherish.
The hunt for the perfect fabric is a key part of my process. A quick mirror selfie during a sourcing trip with a client. It's these pani puri and fabric sourcing dates that build the best relationships.
A candid moment captured during a fitting. This is where the vision starts to come to life, ensuring the outfit is not just beautiful but also comfortable and a true reflection of the bride's personality.
The aftermath of a successful sourcing day. My room filled with shopping bags is a common sight. This is the beautiful chaos of bringing a wedding wardrobe together.
More evidence of a productive day. Each bag holds a piece of the puzzle for creating a client's dream wedding look.
A rare moment of being wedding-ready myself. Dressed in a classic black saree with a red and gold border, embracing my own Marathi mulgi roots.
Draping my mother's wedding saree. It's a piece of my own history and a constant source of inspiration, reminding me of the emotional power of clothing.
A precious family photo. Me with my parents and brother, wearing my mother's wedding saree. Family is my anchor and my biggest support system.
About My Process & My People
People often ask how I work, so here is the truth, it starts with pani puri and fabric hunting. I do not just show up on the wedding day with a hanger and a smile. Whether we are sketching custom outfits or digging through archives for heirloom pieces, we are building a friendship. If you are looking for a stylist who knows the difference between a panicked bride and a peaceful one, let’s grab a chai and talk.
My work as a wedding stylist is less about runway looks and more about your real life. Having trained at NIFT Mumbai, I know the technical side of silhouettes and fabric fall, but that means nothing if you are not comfortable.
My process begins with a deep dive into your heritage. We look at old family photos, check what jewelry you already have, and figure out what makes you feel like you. If you have a grandmother's saree that needs a new life, I will find a way to restore and style it so it fits the modern vibe of your wedding.
The magic happens during our sourcing trips. We might spend days walking through markets or designer studios. These are not formal meetings, they are collaborative sessions where we laugh, grab snacks, and get honest about what works and what does not. I take over the coordination with vendors, including tailors, designers, and jewelry makers, so you do not have to stress about deadlines or fitting sessions. On your wedding day, I am the one in the corner with a vanity kit, fixing a dupatta or pinning a saree so you can focus on the celebration, not the outfit.
