About Puppy's First Steps
Most puppy problems like biting, chewing, or house-soiling happen because the routine is inconsistent, not because your puppy is acting out. Before we touch formal obedience, I focus on 'lifestyle'—susu-potty training, crate habits, and teaching your pup how to settle down. If your puppy cannot calm their own energy, they cannot learn to listen to you. We fix the foundation first, then the obedience follows.
Building a Foundation that Lasts
Puppyhood is the most critical phase for behavioral development. Many owners make the mistake of waiting for the puppy to 'grow out of it,' but habits formed in the first few months are the hardest to break later. My Puppy's First Steps program at my Lucknow home facility is designed to bridge the gap between a wild puppy and a well-behaved companion.
Why a Home Environment Matters
Unlike traditional kennels where puppies are kept in cages, my board-and-train puppies live with my pack. They learn dog-to-dog etiquette by observing calm, trained dogs. They learn to settle on command, respect boundaries, and interact safely. This is where real-world socialization happens—not in a controlled classroom, but in a living room, a garden, and on daily walks.
What We Focus On
- Housebreaking: We implement a strict schedule for outdoor relief so your puppy learns where (and when) to go.
- Bite Inhibition: Puppies explore with their mouths, but they need to learn pressure control. We replace 'play biting' with appropriate outlets.
- Confidence Building: Using agility-based exercises to help shy puppies feel secure and bold puppies learn self-control.
- Owner Coaching: This is non-negotiable. I train your puppy, but I also train you. Before you take your pup home, we do a transfer session where I teach you how to maintain the routines we’ve built. Sahi training hai toh sab possible hai—but only if you follow through at home.
Whether your puppy is a Lab, a GSD, or a Indie, the principles remain the same. Consistency, patience, and clear boundaries are the secret to a stress-free puppyhood.
