My Dog Training Philosophy: Real Results for Real Life
After 8+ years of working with hundreds of dogs, I know one thing for sure: training is not just about commands. It's about coaching you to be the leader your dog needs.
After working with hundreds of dogs, I've seen what works and what doesn't. Many common training methods are flawed, which is why I developed a system that delivers lasting results.
If your dog listens at home but forgets everything at the park, the training wasn't real. My method focuses on real-life reinforcement to ensure obedience holds up under distraction.
Every dog is an individual. A generic, one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work. I tailor my training strategy to your dog's specific breed, history, and needs.
I believe in balanced training. This means rewarding good behavior with positive reinforcement, but also using fair, clear corrections to address bad behavior. This builds confidence and establishes boundaries.
Treats are a tool, not a bribe. If your dog only listens when you're holding food, that's bargaining, not obedience. I teach you how to build habits so your dog responds without constant negotiation.
Unwanted behaviors like jumping or pulling are signs your dog needs structure. Training isn't about punishment; it's about giving your dog the guidance they crave and strengthening your bond.
Being a great dog parent is about more than just training. This is my simple ABC mantra for dog care: Attention, Boundaries, and Comfort. It's the core of a happy, healthy relationship.
Keeping your dog hydrated during hot Indian summers is critical. This video provides practical tips, like adding broth to water or offering water-rich treats, to encourage your dog to drink more.
About My Training Philosophy & Tips
I do not just train your dog and hand them back. My biggest focus is the transfer session. When you come to pick up your dog, I dedicate 60 to 90 minutes to training you. If you do not know how to maintain the boundaries and commands we established at my facility, that training will not hold up in your living room. You and your dog have to work as a team, and my job is to teach you how to lead.
Why Balanced Training Matters
Many people think training is either all treats or all discipline. It is neither. I use a balanced approach because it is the only one that reflects real life. Treats are a great tool for teaching, but if your dog only listens when you have food in your hand, that is bargaining, not obedience. My system uses positive reinforcement to build confidence, but we also use clear, fair corrections to stop unwanted behaviours like jumping, barking, or pulling.
The Truth About Real-Life Obedience
It is easy for a dog to sit or stay in a quiet, empty room. But can they do it at a park with other dogs running around? Can they listen when you are walking them through a busy market? If your dog listens to me but forgets everything at home, the training wasn't real. I focus on 'generalizing' these skills. We practise in varied environments so your dog learns to focus on you, regardless of the distractions.
It Is Always About the Human
Most owners come to me thinking the problem is the dog's personality. Usually, it is just a lack of structure. Your dog feeds off your energy. If you are anxious, they are anxious. If you are inconsistent with your boundaries, they will push them. When you train with me, you are going to learn how to change your own habits as much as your dog's. That is the secret to a calmer home and a stronger bond. Sahi training hai toh sab possible hai.
