I do not just take wide shots of the stage. My focus is on the textures, the lighting, and those small, intentional details like the table settings and floral accents that define your wedding aesthetic. These are the pieces that anchor your photo album and really show the effort you put into your big day.
When you look back at your wedding photos, you want to remember the atmosphere, not just the people. Good decor photography is about capturing the vibe you created, whether it is a grand floral mandap or a minimalist cocktail lounge.
I use specific angles to highlight depth and lighting. If it is a night function, I work with the ambient light to make sure the ceiling installations and hanging lamps pop without losing the warm, cozy feel. During the day, I prioritize natural light to bring out the true colors of the flowers and linens.
I always allocate time before the guests arrive to get those clean, wide shots of the venue. This is when the decor is pristine, before the dancing and the crowd set in. I also capture close-ups of the small details, like centerpieces or welcome signage, because those are often the most personal touches.
