Grassroots Academy Training
Batch Details
- Frequency: Options for 3 days/week or 6 days/week (Monday to Saturday).
- Duration: 60 to 90 minute evening sessions.
- Grouping: Strict age segregation (U-8 to U-16) for appropriate drill intensity.
Core Curriculum
- Fitness: 10-15 minutes dynamic stretching, ladder drills, and stamina runs.
- Skill Work: Low/Pound dribbling, Figure-8 coordination, form shooting, and layup progressions.
- Defense: Stance training, lateral slides, and man-to-man marking.
- Gameplay: Half-court 3v3 or full-court 5v5 practice scrimmages.
Facility & Gear
- Surface: Outdoor hard court (Cement or Synthetic Acrylic).
- Balls: Size 5 (Kids) and Size 6/7 (Teens) rubber/composite balls provided during sessions.
- Policy: Training continues during monsoon with specific wet-court drills.
Administrative
- Assessments: Periodic skill tracking by lead coaches.
- Uniform: Branded jersey set provided upon payment of separate one-time registration fee.
Hourly Court Booking

- Timing: Available during non-academy hours (mornings or late evenings).

- Court: Outdoor standard court with regulation 10ft hoops.

- Ball: Players recommended to bring their own basketball.
- Loaner: Standard house ball provided upon request subject to availability.
Elite Team Program
Advanced Curriculum
- Tactics: Offensive sets (Pick & Roll, motion offense) and defensive rotations (Zone, press breaks).
- Skills: Finishing packages (Euro-steps, floaters) and shooting range extension.
- Conditioning: Plyometrics for vertical jump, core stability, and sprint endurance.
Analysis & Tech
- Video Review: Usage of screens during practice for mechanics breakdown and game footage analysis.
- Game IQ: Strategic chalk-talk sessions regarding spacing and court awareness.
Competition
- Squad: Eligibility to represent the academy in district leagues and private tournaments.
- Scrimmages: Full-court officiated matches against visiting clubs or senior squads.
- Coaching: Direct oversight by Senior Head Coaches.
Entry Requirements
- Prerequisite: Admission via Coach Selection or Scouting Trials only.
- Note: Tournament entry fees and travel costs are charged separately per event.

We train everyone - from tiny ballers (age 5+) to adults. Boys, girls, beginners, and those who already know their way around the court. We’ve got batches for every age group and skill level. If you’re just starting, our grassroots program makes youth basketball training fun and easy. If you’re ready to step up, we’ll help you sharpen your game. For advanced players, our Playmakers Batch and club team prep you for competitive basketball leagues.

My Story
We’re Maniac Basketball Academy, but honestly, it’s always felt more like a wild, happy family. From our senior champs to the little ones just learning to dribble, every win - even the tiny ones - matters. We started small, now you’ll find us bouncing around Mumbai, from Andheri to Navi Mumbai. The real magic? It’s when kids shout ‘mazaa aa raha hai!’ and we know, yep, this is why we do it.

Basketball Coaching & Workshops - We offer youth basketball coaching Mumbai style, for ages 5 to 18, plus basketball workshops for kids in schools and societies.
Player Development Pathway - Our grassroots basketball training starts at age 6, and you can grow all the way up to our club teams.
