DIY Refillable Soy Wax Pearl Candles

Here is the reality of working with these pearls: because they are 100% natural soy wax, they behave differently than store-bought paraffin candles. They have a lower melt point, so keep them away from direct sunlight or heavy AC vents to prevent uneven melting. If you are repurposing an old glass jar, ensure it is completely dry before pouring the pearls, or the wick might sputter. It is the cleanest burn you will get, provided you treat the wax with a little care.

I designed these wax pearls for people who have shelves full of beautiful empty jars and no idea what to do with them. Instead of buying a new candle and throwing away the container once it burns out, you are essentially keeping the vessel and swapping the wax.

How it works

It is simple. You take any heat-safe container—a glass tumbler, a ceramic bowl, or a vintage cup—fill it with the soy wax pearls, and place the wick. That is it. No melting, no complex pouring, and no mess. When the candle burns down, you just scoop out any leftover wax, insert a fresh wick, and top it up again.

I stick to natural soy wax because I cannot stand the soot and toxins that come with paraffin. These pearls burn clean, which means your walls and curtains stay soot-free, and the scent throw is much more subtle.
