This is the first impression of my work, a curated selection that encapsulates my core philosophy. These projects represent the dialogue between nature, structure, and the human spirit, showcasing a range of private, commercial, and cultural spaces. Each one is a testament to the idea that form must follow life.
Private Sanctuaries: Homes in Dialogue with Nature
I design private homes as personal retreats that are deeply connected to their surroundings. By studying the land, sun, and wind, I create spaces that breathe, using vernacular elements like courtyards and verandahs to achieve natural cooling and a seamless flow between inside and out.
The Urban Campus: Reimagining Commercial Spaces
I replace the conventional "office" with the idea of an "environment" or "campus." By using traditional Indian planning devices like stepwells and streets, I design dynamic commercial spaces that foster community, connection, and a fluid relationship between public and private domains.
Hospitality & Retreats
For hospitality projects, I focus on creating an architecture that emerges from the site's unique topography and material history. The goal is to design a retreat that offers guests a genuine connection to the place, balancing the needs of a commercial program with a deep respect for the natural landscape.
Archaeology of the Present: Adaptive Reuse & Restoration
I see restoration as a form of archaeology, a process of carefully unmaking and remaking to give old stories a new life. These projects are about a dialogue with history, transforming derelict structures into vibrant public spaces and serving as examples of sustainability through preservation.
The Architect's Hand: From Sketch to Structure
My process swings from hand sketches and physical models to detailed architectural drawings. This collection offers a look into that journey, showing how an initial, intuitive idea is tested, refined, and translated into the technical language of construction.
The Making Of: A Glimpse from the Site
I believe in the honesty of materials and the art of construction. This collection of images from our active sites reveals the process of making, from laying foundations that respect existing trees to the skilled craftsmanship of bricklayers and stonemasons.
Philosophy, Press & People
My work is a continuous search for balance, guided by nature and a deep respect for accumulated intelligence. This is a collection of thoughts, conversations, and recognitions that have shaped my practice and provided a platform for dialogue within the creative community.
