About this collection

I don't believe in heavy layering to achieve a traditional look. Whether it is a Kanjeevaram engagement or a Varapooja, I focus on a breathable, skin-like base that holds up through rituals and bright photography lights without feeling heavy or cakey.

My approach to traditional South Indian bridal makeup is centered on balance. When you are wearing a heavy Kanjeevaram saree and intricate temple jewelry, your makeup needs to provide contrast, not competition. I prioritize a long-wear HD liquid foundation that is sweat-resistant, which is essential for the long rituals and outdoor venues like The Tamarind Tree where I often work.

I focus on the structural elements of your face. For eyes, I usually choose soft glam or neutral tones that brighten your features without overpowering your traditional attire. For hair, I specialize in structural styling, such as texturized buns or braids, that securely hold your floral arrangements and jewelry accessories for over 8 hours.

My goal is for you to look in the mirror and see yourself, just a more polished, radiant version. It is that 'tumba chennagittu' feeling you get when everything comes together: the jewelry, the outfit, and a base that still looks like skin long after the ceremonies have concluded.
